- The suffering of mankind cannot be alleviated by human means, since the root of all evil is in the nature of man. The human heart is the spiritual center which is naturally sinful, wicked, and does not improve on its own. The one who could become the savior of mankind must have had the ability to regenerate man’s sinful nature, replace it with another one that is perfect and of a higher caliber. No mortal human has this ability.
- God alone, who is the creator and redeemer of mankind, has the ability to regenerate the heart of man to a new life through a personal and conscious faith in Jesus Christ. Christ is the son of God and the Savior of the world and the individual.
- An abundant life exists only in Christ. An abundant life is one that is victorious over the animalistic instincts of man and is able to govern over one’s habits, vices, and sins.
- In Christ exists the unlimited knowledge of the God of love, who is the source of all blessings and the summation of all perfection, which is available only to man on earth.
- Salvation is only in Christ. He is the answer to all prayers, concerns, and desires of the immortal soul of man.
- Christ – the only savior!
- Christ – there exists no higher ideal
- Christ – there exists no better example to follow.
- Christ – there isn’t a nobler cause to serve.
- “God is love.” The love of God is a singular, faithful, and an indestructible foundation, tested by the ages, on which an individual’s personal, familial, and social life must be built.
- A proper relationship with God is the only way to maintain a true brotherly relationship with others.
- The Church of Christ is holy not because of its divine origin, nature, and objectives, but because of the holiness of its members. “According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love... According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue…”
- Only people who have been born again can be members of the church, being “worthy of the fruits of repentance,” sanctified, living lives separated from the world, and openly and boldly confessing Christ before men.
- The Church of Christ can appreciate the freedom bestowed by Christ as well as sacrificially protect this freedom from all worldly influences, errors, and financial dependence.
- The Church of Christ stands before modernism (just as the ancient-Apostolic church stood in its time), armed with the claims arising from the immutable world of God, which is designed to meet all the spiritual questions and needs of our generation.
